I watched a woman cry for almost 2 hours at her POS stand because of ₦20,000 💔
At first, I thought someone had stolen from her.
But no. A customer transferred ₦20,000 to her account, collected the cash, and left. Minutes later, she received a debit alert—the customer had reversed the transfer.
She tried calling the number. It was switched off. She checked the account details nothing, the man had disappeared.
Now, ₦20,000 may not seem like much to some. But for her, it was days of profit. I watched her sit there crying, saying:
“How do I explain this to my children? This is the money I use to feed them.”
That’s when it hit me. Many people are not poor because they are lazy. They are one bad day away from breaking.
One scam. One sickness. One mistake. One emergency.
So please, if life is treating you kindly right now, be grateful. And if you do business with people hustling to survive, don’t cheat them.
You may be stealing money from them… but you could also be stealing peace from an entire family. 💔
Between last year and this year, I’ve only been asked out by guys who are the only sons in their families. I don’t know what the odds are, but I’ve always wanted my kids to have more uncles, since I have only one brother.🥹
I lost my job few weeks ago but no one knew this because I got another one less than 2 weeks later. One of my former colleagues got a job and told the recruiter about me. She told them to interview me so I can assist her. They did and gave a higher offer but she didn’t mind.
Another former colleague called me now to find out if I’ve gotten a job because he has another offer for me. He even suggested that I do that one alongside my current job because he believes I lock in so hard on my job and he’s right. I just won’t do it because I believe multi tasking is a productivity flaw (been there, done that).
I’m sharing all these to say that I’ve met wonderful people in my lifetime from different countries, races and tribes and I’m so grateful 🥹.
If you are a doctor in Nigeria and you're relying on salary alone, you'll struggle financially till the day you die.
Recently, I had to take loan to fix an inverter system in my house.
While the guy was installing it, he was busy taking calls from different clients and making deals.
I slowly realized that we're not mates.
If you take away my well tailored shirts and tie, he is not my mate financially.
This guy probably earns over a million per month and I barely make 500k even with X earnings.
As a doctor in Nigeria, you need mad hustle.
Your salary needs to be your side hustle or else you'll suffer.
You can go away now.
I appeared in court with a colleague who is desperately looking for a job, so I made a ₦10,000 bet with him that he should walk up to 5 senior lawyers and tell them directly that he needs a job. If any of them agreed, I would lose.
He went one after the other to 5 senior lawyers, and all of them turned him down.
After he had lost hope, we were shocked to realize that a senior colleague who had been sitting right beside us had heard the entire conversation.
After court ended, he called the guy aside and said, “I like your courage. Can you resume on Monday?”
That’s how I lost ₦10,000.
One of the biggest struggles as a single guy is getting a girl to like you. All that chasing. Forcing conversations. Checking up. Initiating talks. I don’t believe in applying pressure. If you see how women behave when they are interested in you you’ll stop stressing yourself.
I wanted to show this professor something on my phone. She left her seat and knelt beside me (just to be comfortable, since I was seated).
The African boy in me still couldn't process that.
After my uncle lost everything in business, he sold his last plot in Abuja.
His security guard of 12 years showed up with all his savings and said, “Oga, you fed my children when I had nothing. Today na my turn.”
Few years later, he bounced back and sent one of the guard’s kids abroad for school.
What goes around really comes around.
Went on date, he said he wasn’t hungry for now which made me the only one that ordered.
He stood up and said he wanted to use the toilet so I believed he has absconded as I’ve seen similar news on twitter
So I paid for my stuff and told them to pack for me cos I would be leaving any moment.
He came back to see my food packed and he said “ why did you pack the food or is this another one?” I told him I thought he wasn’t coming back.
He felt offended for thinking he wasn’t coming back so he asked to pay I said I have paid and I was about to leave.
He just blurted “ me run away because of 30k food?? Are you mad???” Omo everybody for that setting turned and were looking at us.
Shame wear me face cap, I wished the ground could open so I can seek asylum in it.
I just refunded a customer 310k and I need to address something important.
A customer recently placed an order worth 310k for 10kg of Kilishi and waybill fee inclusive.. He specifically pleaded with me to use a driver’s waybill instead of my usual registered waybill because his sister was travelling out of the country and he needed the package urgently.
Against my delivery standard practice, I agreed.
I paid my staff to take the package all the way to Zuba for dispatch. If you live in Abuja, you know Zuba is very far from Kubwa. After dispatch, I immediately sent the customer the driver’s contact so he could stay in touch regarding the movement of the package.
At some point, the driver’s line became unreachable. Naturally, drivers spend hours on the road and network issues happen. I explained this to the customer and asked for a little patience.
Unfortunately, he wasn’t comfortable with the situation and continued calling our business line repeatedly while demanding an immediate refund.
To protect my brand and give the customer peace of mind, I refunded the entire 310k.
What many people don’t realize is that I was the one who absorbed all the losses. I paid for transportation to dispatch the package, paid for it to be returned, and lost money in the process.
This is why I insist on using registered waybills for all orders.
Registered waybills provide accountability, tracking, and protection for both the customer and my business. When customers request alternative arrangements outside our standard process, there are risks involved that neither network issues nor road conditions can completely eliminate.
Going forward, if you choose a driver’s waybill instead of our registered waybill, please understand that it comes with additional risks.
Also, if you have a travel date or a strict deadline, please don’t wait until the last minute before placing your order. Once you know your departure date, place your order at least a week in advance. That gives us enough time to process, dispatch, and deliver without unnecessary pressure on everyone involved.
Small businesses are doing their best to serve customers well, but we also need customers to understand that some things are beyond our control.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
I remain your Kilishi Lord Dimma Spicy Kilishi
4 years ago, a day before my birthday, I was given admission into anatomy instead of MBBS, despite having As and Bs in WAEC and 331 in JAMB.
My birthday was spent at that school pleading my case. I remember my dad being on his knees, asking them to reconsider.
A police officer stopped my friend at a checkpoint.
Took his phone.
Took his ATM card.
Withdrew ₦50,000.
My friend didn't fight.
He didn't beg.
He just wrote down one thing.
What happened to that officer
will shock you.
