We welcome contributions from everyone, humans and machines alike. nTezos is an instantiation of Tezos, it is independent from the Tezos foundation, self-governed and maintains the exact token allocations. No "premine". No ICO funds to manage. No KYC. #Tezos#Nomic#nTezos
@asglidden@ArthurB And so it starts with some simple things like enabling non-overlapping protocol upgrades to be tested/promoted simultaneously. Or resisting a third-party when they (knowingly or not) shatter the social norms that the "commons" needs to hold dear in order to thrive.
@asglidden@ArthurB It's something that must come *from* the network spontaneously and there is no cutting corners with that. Capital alone is insufficient.
The #nTezos commonwealth is separate from the @TezosFoundation. The nTezos network will be spawned from all over the world by a mesh of resolute individuals that strive to make the commonwealth successful on its own terms. #SelfOrganization

Diverse protocol instantiations maximize the likelihood of implementing the vision of a digital commonwealth that is a safe haven for private property, protects minority rights by construction, with shared governance of the commons and self-amending capabilities. #nTezos#Tezos
We think that a necessary condition for Tezos to reach its full potential is that it be bootstrapped spontaneously and anonymously without any clearly identifiable pressure points in the real world.
Your private key: derived from the email + password + 15 words mnemonic.
Your public key hash (aka PKH): It starts with "tz1" and is derived from your private key.
You should *NEVER* trust anyone with your private key.
Beware that someone who knows your PKH knows your balance.
The nTezos genesis block will follow the terms of the fundraiser. DLS/Tezos France will keep its allocation along with its vesting schedule but the Tezos Foundation's tokens will be frozen and spent (or burned) at the community's discretion following an on-chain vote.
Never trust anyone with your private key and be extremely suspicious of anyone who asks for your data in order to "claim" your allocation. We will *never* ask you this information.
@TezosFoundation This seems backwards. Why can't third parties just run a script to scan the BTC/ETH blockchains, see how much everyone contributed, calculate how much XTZ everyone should get, and generate the genesis block without Tezos Co involvement?
That's how the Ethereum launch worked.
The @TezosFoundation has a certain idea of what its instance of the Tezos protocol should be like. That idea is shaped by the pressures they are subject to despite their considerable resources. #nTezos has no foundation and little resources, but it can afford not to compromise.

Software forks don't have to be adversarial and antagonizing. Some disagreements are irreducible and the Internet is large enough for different projects with different guiding principles to coexist courteously.
