His firm landed nearly R4bn in Eastern Cape education contracts over five years—mostly R3.4bn for travel, hotels and meals. In 2025 alone it received R336m across 1,317 payments (over R1m a day for 10 months) while the department said it was too broke to pay other providers. A 4:11am email rushed R18.5m to clear his account. Magele recently acquired the Herald and Daily Dispatch. No formal probes yet.

This is what seems to confuse some Nigerians 🇳🇬 and Ghanaians 🇬🇭. They don’t understand how South Africans can coexist with, and even enjoy being around white people. To some, it seems like we should still be consumed by hatred.

I always tell people that South Africans are remarkably resilient, forgiving, and focused on moving forward. Every country has its own painful history and its own divisions. For example, tensions between some Igbos and some Fulanis are rooted in historical conflicts that continue to shape people’s views.

At some point, though, we have to choose whether we let the past define our future. Forgiveness doesn’t mean forgetting,it means refusing to let hate control your life. Life is too short. Let’s heal, move on, and build a better future together.

Guys this man pocketed R745 million from Eskom and got a suspended sentence (no prison time) but we had to endure constant stage 6 loadshedding, the cost of living went up because of loadshedding. The cost of electricity right now is insane, but yet a suspended sentence.
