Congratulations to KZN Police Commissioner Lt-General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi for being named the Newsmaker of the Year by the National Press Club. A patriot - who chose South Africa 🇿🇦
@CityTshwane
Today, I went to Shoprite to buy lunch. In front of me was a student buying her mini groceries. When she swiped her card, it declined, and she wanted to remove a few items. I told her to not remove anything and I paid for all her groceries. I made her day🥺
While conducting #TshwaneYaTima in Atteridgeville, I met Thato - who runs Lacquer Nail and Beauty Clinic. Her municipal accounts are up to date. What was most interesting about Thato’s work, is that twice a week she hosts elderly women for beauty treatments.
If you are interested in supporting a small business, please visit Thato’s salon. We want to see all businesses to grow in Tshwane.
Thato’s work can be followed via TikTok, Instagram and Facebook on: lacquer_nbc

ANNOUNCEMENT
On this day, 19 May 2026 at 4pm, I, Rami Chuene, would like to state on record that I have received communication from the SABC telling me they will be paying me repeat fees for my work on Giyani:Land Of Blood. The paper work has been completed and submitted and I now wait for payment.
Why am I telling you? So you know, my dear thespians, that this is what is truly due to us. I appreciate this from the SABC and hope that all actors that have their shows repeated on TV are also getting their repeat fees. Thank you SABC. ✊🏾🙏🏾❤️🇿🇦
What Maria shows is that if you live your life full of friendship and service, you will leave a monument when you die.
Rest in tea cups and bangles my friend.
Rest in giggles and creative hateration.
Rest in sneakers and gold nails.
Rest in the music.
I haven’t been able to post about that day at the hospital and I don’t know how to make sense of your passing.
But.. rest Riri.
As you knew so very well, you are loved.
I don't think South Africa speaks enough about the Maluleke Sisters.
Young women need role models like this. We need to see more stories like these of black women being trailblazers in their respective careers.📌
This is my host, Wanie. I spent the day with him to experience his work day. He is proud of the content we created together. Enjoy!
Note: He doesn’t represent the entire Coloured community. His friends were happy to feature in the video and were compensated #thepopishow

Morning @Lesufi waking up to day two of 100% zero water, after a week of daily interrupted water supply. But hey, maybe you can sponsor my household a room for a shower at Monty since my baby and I have commitments today? Whilst you’re at it she needs water for formula too.
