Will never forget the time at the IMAX in Hollywood opening weekend for Interstellar when they introduced the film by telling the audience that Nolan had sat in every seat in this very theater to ensure the quality only for them to start the movie and it was projected upside down
I’m no millionaire studio exec, but if I saw a $15M horror movie with so so reviews make $30M opening weekend and a $300M tentpole with so so reviews make $60M opening weekend, I’d strongly reconsider my “everything must be $300M and based on nostalgia” business model.
lol idk if this has been shared before but jason schwartzman just said that his relationship with wes anderson was founded on a shared love of weezer’s pinkerton

@becroll And the Palme d'Or goes to... ANATOMY OF A FALL! Incredibly, that's four straight films from Neon that have won the Palme (after TRIANGLE OF SADNESS, TITANE, and PARASITE)
The new HBO Max (MAX) has eliminated writer/director credits in their interface in favor of a vague "Creators." This is what Raging Bull currently looks like. It's so fucking over.
