Two givers in a relationship looks like
• He paid for her nails so she paid for his next 2 cuts
• She made the list, he bought the groceries and brought them inside, she put them away.
• She cooked, he cleaned.
• She bought him cologne so he sent her on a Spa Day
• He covered every bill so she booked the trip
• She bought him Js so he filled her tank/detailed the car.
It's not about going 50/50 on expenses. It’s about going 100/100 in life. You pour into me, I pour into you. You prioritize me, I prioritize you. It’s really that simple when you know a person has your back!
My favorite form of intimacy has always been asking questions, not to pry, but to understand the architecture of someone's inner world. The way they think. The way they feel. The way their past still echoes in their present. There's a depth in people that never shows unless someone asks the kind of questions that require honesty instead of performance.
I was never a leaver🥹.
When I love, I stay. I fight, I try, I give everything I can.
I don't walk away just because things get hard, and I don't disappear when feelings get real.
I've always been the type who holds on, not the one who lets someone go.
If I stepped back, it wasn't because I wanted to leave, it was because I had no place left to stay.😔💔
Girl maintence is so expensive 😭😭 but it makes you feel so good!! Having your hair done.. nails/ toes done.. a fresh wax … lashes done.. 😅 Your whole life could be falling apart and here you go looking good so you feeling good🥹🥹do it for you, not others!!
Relationship serve both parties. Companionship is a two way street. It is important you choose someone you can live with and build a home with, so the companionship that is supposed to bless you, doesn't kill you.
I sent him a “How did your day go?” and he sent me a 10-minute voice note telling me everything.
And that basically sums up the kind of person I want by my side. STOP normalizing disinterest.
I’m dropping a huge truth bomb and going to sleep:
For some men, losing an incredible woman is a relief—because now they can keep being mediocre without the pressure to become better.
