@Aunty_Bigot There's a slight bit of worry about it too. A lot of the US can be in the mid-30s for sustained periods of time. When humid, conditions in the house are the quite similar to the inside of the body. So bacteria/mold that thrive in those conditions also thrive inside the body
@walkabilityfan Taziki's (and previously Zoe's Kitchen) and Books-a-Million are Birmingham. But Milo's Sweet Tea is probably the one most people thinks fits. Happens with most states
@JaseInAmerica1 The C in Tucson is silent. In terms of laundry, there's a couple things in play: 1) it's too dry; everything is adapted to seek moisture 2) most of the eastern US is quite humid and things just wouldn't consistently dry. Mentality carries over after moving.
@shaunvlog_@tusd1964 It was a wild start to the year. 2024 not only had the Bass Pro plunge, but also man stuck in fancy urn drama. Felt like it was going to be a wild year.
@japan_nobunaga More like an expanded UK dynamic with England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Or Japan's main islands. Things are just different in each, and each even has subareas, but there's a bit of a link.
@SkylarSkye3 I like it because it means I can directly pay staff instead of hoping the company trickles down to them. Those who don't seem to want to wine about "big business" and deny the means they have of helping the "little man" directly themselves.
@nickgerli1 Birmingham: The secret Midwestern city (kinda not a joke; it economically trends more like a Midwestern city than a Southern one for a lot of things. For example, unemployment of the I-65 corridor has been notably low the last few months.)
@StatisticUrban Also, National Forests act like the Mountains/Oceans/Great Lakes for this area. So even if it looks like it has no constraints for sprawl, it actually does.
@StatisticUrban The AL portion never needs to go to the Carolinas to pass anywhere else. It goes to Chattanooga/Knoxville to go to the northeast. So a Knoxville/Nashville/Bham-Montgomery/Atlanta is more of a separate thing from the Carolina Crescent.
@JJ_McCullough UK George Floyd riots are weird. Latinx can only make sense in a non-gendered language world. Turning everything to look like the Atlantic slave trade is odd and turning that as the "origin" for all those "similar" things is off.
@JJ_McCullough I wouldn't say in general, but there's a weird USA-centricism with this general "Woke" sphere. It feels very "Target" over "Walmart" in that Target more plasters the same copy/pasta everywhere, and Walmart, despite also being groan-worthy in other areas, does adapt more to place.
@wil_da_beast630 How many fire eaters actually ended up in the Confederate government? The only president was anti-secession.
I get annoyed at the Civil War was about slavery/state's rights talk since the through line of the callers of secession to CSA leaders is broken.
