You have to be happy with the Quinn Hughes trade value-wise considering lack of leverage. Marco Rossi is 24, coming off of 60 points, and has 15 points in 20 games on last-place Vancouver - all without being the crown jewel of the deal (Zeev Buium).

Allvin is thinking ahead here. You’ve got arguably two top ten centres, a top three defenseman and top three goaltender leaguewide ALL locked in for at LEAST the next two years after this one.

Having Jonathan Lekkerimäki and Tom Willander insulate on ELCs is the right play.

@vandy0325 I mean, he’s a second round pick, has 19 and is on pace for 26 goals (all at even strength) and if you watch his play, he’s a takeaway/puck battle machine.

The other piece is price, w/ the EP40 deal locked in, VAN will have to structure their cap carefully. Guentzel’s contract>>
