This AI generated image was passed off with no mention that it was made by AI. This one just teaches bad roofing, but many I've seen are worse. Labeled or not, I believe these harm developing minds' perception of reality. I think AI-generated pictures and videos shouldn't be viewable by minors (like porn) unless the creator holds a license for public viewing. The licensing process should cover ethics: not deceiving the public, not distorting perceptions of reality, and not promoting unsafe notions.

There are cost studies from Tennessee that show the death penalty costs more than life without parole due to the cost of trials, appeals, death row housing. And now an ICU bed due to a failed execution. The 13th amendment bans forced labor except for those duly convicted, and that's why you see many prisoners forced to perform tasks and there are punishments if they do not. I'm fine with prison labor so long as it meets the same standards as free labor with regard to heat, hours, safety, etc. This sort of labor is better than murdering yet another person - which is senseless. We don't rape rapists or burn down arsonists' houses. We should not murder murderers.

The point of prison is not rehabilitation. It is nice if someone can be rehabilitated, but the point of prison is to separate dangerous people from everyone else. The reason we should not execute prisoners is because murder is wrong no matter who's doing it, so long as prisons exist that can hold people.
