🗣️ Newcastle COO Brad Miller confirms a decision will be taken on whether to redevelop St James’ Park or build a new stadium early next year. Miller was speaking at a Fan Advisory Board meeting.
“This is an exciting but extremely complex project… We aren't quite at a decision-making stage yet, but we are targeting the early part of 2025 to complete the next essential tasks.
"We are challenging our appointed design team, and ourselves, to make sure our eventual chosen route delivers a fantastic fan experience, one that represents the fans, city, region and club, and aligns with the long-term ambitions of our ownership group.”
Always a class act; man of the moment, Anthony Gordon had this to say to me post match:
💬 “Amazing day. Best fans in the country and they carry us through games like that! Eddie just said in the dressing room he got a Newcastle Utd display there.”
On his new contract:
💬 “I don’t need any persuading to stay here. I’ve been excited to sign the contract for a long time. It shows my commitment to the club which has never been in question!”
And on Darren Eales:
💬 “Incredibly sad. Darren is a wonderful human being and played a huge part in bringing me here. I’m forever in his debt and forever thankful for him. I just hope he’s ok.”

🇫🇷📋 Mo Simakan remains on the list of Newcastle, Liverpool, and Saudi Arabian clubs. There is concrete interest from each of them. His €70m release clause expired already. The transfer fee would now be a few million cheaper (€40m-€50m).
⚫️⚪️ For Newcastle, Simakan is an alternative if the Guehi transfer ultimately falls through.
🇸🇦 Al-Nassr is pushing hard.
🇵🇹 The most concrete replacement for Simakan at Leipzig: Antonio Silva. Negotiations and discussions are ongoing. @SkySportDE@Plettigoal
