On 31 July 2026, I completed 47 years of military service to my country, a journey I undertook with dedication, commitment, and love for Uganda.
47 years in uniform. 47 years of service to Uganda.
As I close this chapter, I do so with deep gratitude to God, my comrades, the UPDF and the people of Uganda for the privilege to serve.
A lifetime in service. A country forever in my heart. 🇺🇬
I was at @Makerere today to pick my Master’s in Gender Studies academic transcript.
The process was so swift. The staff who attended to me and others were friendly and welcoming.
I got the same experience at the School of Humanities when I picked my transcript.
So what’s your excuse for not picking your academic documents?
On another note, I think the University should consider charging a storage fee for anyone who doesn’t pick their academic documents one year after graduation.
Today, July 19, 2026, I, a Ugandan citizen, propose that henceforth, from grade I magistrates to Supreme Court justices, spend a mandatory 24 hours resident at a Ugandan prison as part of their induction.
I propose that the Hon. Joel B. Ssenyonyi MP, Nakawa West, table my bill.
So yesterday I found out "Mr Otim Otafiire" @otafiire only did 2½ terms at the seminary before he was “forcefully retired.” 😅
Throughout Mass he kept whispering, “Now we can sit,” while everyone else was standing and reciting the prayers.
Whenever he told me to stand, the whole congregation was seated.
Whenever he told me to sit, everyone else was standing.
I only got it right when I decided to copy the Archbishop instead. 😂
That aside, it was a great honor to attend the AMDEF fundraising.
My sincere appreciation to the organizers @NWSCMD and the Church for championing projects like these. Initiatives that empower the congregation, create jobs, and help religious institutions become more self-sustaining deserve our support. A truly commendable vision.

The issue before Court is the accused person's lawyers are being dispersed by State and is thus denied the right to lawyers of his choice.
The article referred to by the judge takes care of scenarios where the accused lacks financial capacity to hire lawyers of his own choice.
I have always argued that respecting and protecting human rights should be everyone's duty, because human rights are for all humans whether opposition or NRM. Human rights do not segregate when Man is in trouble. Anyone can become a candidate for the other side. When civil society and independent media face a crackdown, it shouldn't be a time to celebrate; it should be a time to reflect and fight to ensure their spaces are protected. Everyone will one day need THAT LAWYER, THAT JOURNALIST!
Ndugu @BalaamBarugahar, my two cents on your new onslaught on corrupt civil servants; follow the process. Please stop condemning officials publicly and ordering their arrest. That is populism and more of gallery politics. Go, establish facts, get back to office, consult and recommend.
In my village, Butozi. Has it ever happened to you? You go to report a misbehaving child to the parents (Chairman), so that they discipline him. The father stays in the bedroom, doesn’t come out. The following day he comes to your home and says: “I heard you have issues with my child, that he beats people on the village. Actually you should thank him, for he hasn’t killed them. He is disciplining them properly”. Do you go back to report to him? Do you wonder again where the child’s guts come from? Things on my village! Things fall apart, the center can no longer hold
