The most important? Completely turn off (not sleep) your Switch and turn it back on before each round. 🧵

The final pre-tournament setting is Date & Time. There's a chance that mismatched clock settings could affect things (very unconfirmed). To be safe, go to System > Date and Time to set Synchronize Clock via Internet to On and set the time zone to London, Lisbon for EUIC.
Some of the issues you'll face are likely memory leak related. Power cycling your Switch by holding down the power button and selecting "Turn Off" under Power Options and turning it back on refreshes your memory and prevents that.
The following steps are important to reduce wireless interference and only need to be done once at the beginning of the tournament.
Ensure your Switch is in Airplane Mode.
If you're using a controller, makes sure that Pro Controller Wired Communication is set to On.

Just a reminder for folks headed to LAIC that many of you will spend more time flying to the event than it takes to properly catch and train a team so it seems like a poor use of time to lose Pokémon or get DQed for doing things the wrong way. Don’t take unnecessary losses.
Coming back from the grave to remind everyone at #PokemonWorlds that team lists for Day 1 must be submitted by 8PM Japan Time tonight and to follow the advice of the tournament organizers!

SERVER NO LONGER DOWN so our archive of articles from 2012 to 2015 is back up. We've also finally been able to fix the bug causing articles to cut off into a black background and becoming unreadable.
