@DalaiThapa@menstrupedia I believe in the post-pandemic time, Instagram has really shone when it comes to advocacy through storytelling. This is because of the audience, inclusivity, and the sheer flexibility that the platform provides. I can quote myself as an example.
@DalaiThapa@menstrupedia I've actually had a lot of such moments, haha! But one recent memory is when I wrote an article about grooming and got an influx of DMs and how people felt validated of their experiences and feelings. I think these instances do help me understand the impact my work has.
@DalaiThapa@menstrupedia And of course, it's important to know your audience. I can't expect to talk about sex toys with a woman living in an underresourced community. Or, I can't just stop at anatomy while talking to young adults. So, that's another aspect. (2/2)

@DalaiThapa Absolutely! I'm currently working in the field of sexuality education and menstrual awareness with platforms such as Sangya Project, That Sassy Thing, and @menstrupedia . I primarily am doing content-based work, trying to touch upon some significant and unacknowledged issues!
@DalaiThapa@menstrupedia Simply put, trying to have small conversations around it, amongst age groups. Take for example, introducing a young boy to periods as soon as they see an sanitary napkin ad on TV. Or, trying to incorporate subtle references in everyday life with family, friends etc. (1/2)
Menstrupedia has been extensively working with schools in order to reach out to girls and children and help them know about and understand periods. Last year however, the lockdown brought everything to a stand-still.. (contd.)
A thread.
This needed to be said.
Mental health awareness campaigns DO NOT WORK.
Rinse. Repeat.
"People know they need help with their mental health, they are just struggling to get the assistance they need within our under-funded mental health care system."

[THREAD] I want to touch on gender differences in mental health. It is a very tricky topic in the sense that there are a lot of environmental issues at play that can skew the numbers a lot. When you look up mental illnesses, they tend to put the percentage of men and women.

Point of law for consideration
The SG during the hearing on 10th August has said - No Examinations- No Degree. He is learnt to have threatened the Student Community that UGC will not be granting Degrees if Final Year Examinations are not held.
lastly, drink water + hydrate + get rest + and just energize yourself after the session. it can be very long and tedious, but mental health is always a priority!

if you do have a supportive family environment, involve them with the scanning/uploading process (my dad scanned my documents for me so i could concentrate on writing)
On July 10th, the covid tests came back positive for myself, mum, and my friend, negative for dad. We’ve finished home quarantine now and our symptoms are mostly gone (yay!!!) but here are some things I wish I’d known which could’ve avoided a lot of stress and anxiety (1/n)
