Spencer Rattler days until Carolina Football
# 7 Moment in Gamecock football history
South Carolina takes down top 10 Tennessee and CLemson in back to back weeks
@hotcansoup@gamecockcash@taylordiveley That’s not how it works. It is a medical process that takes place over years and requires multiple people’s consent to happen. They don’t just “give testosterone” to a girl. They also don’t just do this to any little kid that’s confused there is a process.
Dr. Annie Andrews has publicly stated on numerous occasions that she does not support gender-affirming surgeries for anyone under the age of 18. I have searched far and wide and have NO evidence of her supporting late-term abortions. Her platform just calls for the restoration of the protections of Roe v Wade. Under Roe v Wade, states already had the option to ban abortion in the third trimester unless the mother's life is in danger. (Big 'state's rights' fans UNLESS it's something you want to mandate, huh?)
I keep seeing claims made by republicans in this state, including Darline Graham, that Andrews wants to 'mutilate children'. Ms. Graham is running ads calling Dr. Andrews the "Doctor of Death".
Look, if abortions in ANY capacity are a hard-line issue for you, whatever. There isn't any arguing with that, I guess. I could have a whole different conversation on how at that point, you're most likely letting your religion blind you and you want a theocracy more than you want a democracy, but I won't touch that today.
Misinformation is a sickness. Annie Andrews is a smart, well-spoken candidate. If something sounds outlandish about her, it's probably so. I implore you to look at her website compared to Darline's. Graham doesn't even have her platform on her website. She admitted to not knowing foreign policy, which is bad for any politician, but even CRAZIER for someone who claims to be carrying on her brother's legacy. Lindsey Graham was a notorious foreign policy buff. Darline was shoved into the limelight with her last name, Donald Trump's endorsement, and a prayer.
The state republicans' main line of defense against the most daunting democratic oppostion in the last three decades is to label the home-grown pediatrician as a murderer, a mutilator, and a traitor.
South Carolinians are eating it up.
