And just because it’s normal on Twitter doesn’t make it right. Imagine your proposal or wedding day becoming a trending topic, and thousands of strangers who know nothing about your relationship are tearing it apart. There are still real people with real feelings behind that post. The couple didn’t even post it themselves a blogger did. If people are free to criticize, then others are just as free to call out when that criticism goes too far or becomes outright cruel. Questioning his job, making fun of him for praying, bringing up the fact that they already have a child, and saying she’ll cheat, he’ll cheat, or that the relationship will end in tears isn’t constructive criticism or harmless banter. It’s simply being unnecessarily nasty.
