@Pirat_Nation There's just genuinely no reason to use any other service. It's almost better to just pirate the games, not just for cost but so that you're not restricted to whatever service you purchased from for literally nothing in return.
@Pirat_Nation When I (eventually) sell a game on Steam, I get access to the steamworks suite. Makes development easier and makes it easier for users to play the game smoothly.
30% isn't even unusual. A majority of the competition has the same rate and has for a long while.
@Ryle_bee Title: I Have No Idea
Description: I have a very weak sense of smell. I do not know what I'm exhibiting. It could be anything. It could be nothing. It could be incredible. It could be repulsive. You would have to tell me, and I still wouldn't understand.
@JoshStrifeHayes Sometimes I wonder if some people just lost their mouse wheel. It really isn't that hard to just scroll past a video you don't like.
They spent more time complaining than they would've just finding a video they'd enjoy instead.
@ThatVidyaGuy@RikuLyonheart@wariocolosseum Oh wow, I had no idea about that.
I knew about the yachts but didn't know that they were actually useful. So Tim's dumb criticism is making Gabe look even better because I imagine I'm not the first person finding this out because of this situation.
@tonikopantoja One of the things I've seen was an artist working for an AI company claiming "it was only trained on my work so it's ethical", but it's simply not true. It's still trained on mass bot scraped work, it was only using that artist's work as context. There are no 'ethical' models.
@tonikopantoja It also doesn't help that they're usually misinformed about how the technology works, misinformed by the pro-AI people. They are led to believe there's 'ethical models' when there isn't any. And even if they were 'ethical', it's still not real art.
@GeorgeCrudo I've even seen some people saying they 'have to' switch to AI to pay the bills. If your backup plan is [current trend] then you'll be chasing it forever.
@tonikopantoja For real. I understand the technology more than half of the pro-AI people does. I've been following it since before it started spreading like wildfire. I've been watching it when it was just someone trying to get it to read numbers.
I understand it and still refuse to use it.
@mexopolis So, you created a dedicated "dumping zone" for everything you don't want to hear (and presumably muted this post). Bravo. So bold of you.
I encourage everyone to spread their disappointment to all of his posts, not just this one.
@GamersNexus Locking the post itself because of the type of replies it got..? That's actually genuinely insane. If the subreddit isn't for talking about video length, then the comments should get removed, not the post being locked.
@Rahll In addition to not being trained on copyrighted work, it also shouldn't be trained on real humans without their explicit concent. No "in the middle of a EULA that changed last week", purely opt-in and voluntary.
@IsThisA3DModel did they really think it was going to stay as a free money generator forever? lmao
this is what happens to trendchasers, over and over. they get pulled in by some grift, get grifted, then complain about getting grifted.
Following @grantabbitt's Blender courses has been pretty nice. Good instructor. Helps me keep focused! Other tutorials would often leave me wanting to get up and do things away from my computer.
Finished Part 1 of Blender Pathway. Added a bigger island in the back and a dock!
