The Royal Thai Army Spokesperson has confirmed that talks between the commander of forces in the 2nd Army Region and the Cambodian side have taken place. The meeting was a negotiation between the Commander of the 2nd Army Region and the Deputy Commander of Cambodia's 5th Military Region at the Chong Chom checkpoint.

▪️Results of the discussion:
- Ceasefire.
- No targeting of civilians.
- No reinforcement of troops.
- No redeployment of forces.
- Facilitate the repatriation of the wounded and the deceased.
- Establish a coordination team with 4 members from each side to resolve issues.
- Await further discussions following the results of the GBC (General Border Committee) meeting on August 4, 2025.

However, the Royal Thai Armed Forces still affirm their right to use force in self-defense, in accordance with Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, if attacked first.

Officials Rush to Assist Civilians Following BM-21 Rocket Impact in Kantharalak District, Si Sa Ket Province, Resulting in 1 Injured and 1 Fatality

On 27 July 2025, at approximately 17:00 hours, a BM-21 rocket struck the area of Sao Thong Chai Subdistrict, Kantharalak District, Si Sa Ket Province, causing damage to civilian residences and resulting in 1 fatality and 1 injury as follows:

- Mr. Somsri Lappaboon, aged 59, died from shrapnel wounds.

- Mr. Jai Tharnamthiang, aged approximately 48, sustained shrapnel injuries to the head.

Military personnel provided initial first aid and transported the injured individual to Si Sa Ket Hospital for further medical treatment.

Both the deceased and injured were civilian volunteers who had volunteered to maintain village watch during the period of unrest along the border area.

The Royal Thai Army condemns the actions of the Cambodian side in employing combat weapons that have affected innocent civilians who are not involved in the conflict. To date, the total number of civilian fatalities from combat incidents has reached 14.

การดำเนินการดังกล่าวเป็นไปตามหลักมนุษยธรรมสากล และถือเป็นการให้เกียรติแก่ทหารที่เสียชีวิตในสมรภูมิ ไม่ว่าจะสังกัดฝ่ายใด สะท้อนถึงจิตวิญญาณของความเป็นทหารที่มีเกียรติและศักดิ์ศรี ซึ่งเข้าใจถึงหัวอกของผู้ปฏิบัติหน้าที่ในสถานการณ์ความขัดแย้ง ซึ่งล้วนปฏิบัติหน้าที่ตามบทบาทเพื่อประเทศของตน
