@Dr_Donegan 3- 4 lanes across and they couldn’t find space for a bike lane. It signals “we don’t want cyclists coming through here” and I’ll keep hitting up my on-route merchants for take-out, groceries, and stuff
@synapse2000@nienna121 Have you seen their headquarters, vehicles, gadgets and outfits? I don’t need a flipping tank, helicopter, and backhoe to rescue a kitten from a tree. It’s excessive, someone needs to stop them
@antiwarjosh@BrentToderian@AmritWilliams@adamconover Car culture today is bonkers, everywhere (in the US). Similar to what’s said in that video, I’m not anti-car, I’m anti
-speeding
-driving drunk
-driving while unfit to have a license
-accepting car crashes as a common occurrence instead of doing anything to prevent them
The image they use shows bike lanes, but the actual plan has fully removed all bike lanes. They may add bike lanes in a future year. This is what they call progress.

@Dr_Donegan There’s a bench in front of starbucks, but most people there sit inside… also all the seating by Savoy across the street is possibly available when Savoy’s not open. I usually go for the tables in Blue Back Square or inside Barnes & Noble
@jamesjansson@normalishvegan People should be allowed to protest in a democracy. Shutting down hecklers with the threat of losing the race if they keep protesting is a shitty manipulation. The lack of a ceasefire, whoever may or may not be responsible, is a valid worry.
In the 1660s, this French philosopher came up with an invention that solved the problem of urban transport forever.
It had nothing to do with Robo-taxis, flying cars, or Tesla Tunnels.
