@bradchattergoon I tell everyone - do a PhD only if you know what is waiting at the end of it. Perpetual post docs, adjuncting, perpetual visiting professorships are not a career, but a hobby or a luxury that a trust fund young adult can afford. Go to industry - you will make x times where x>2.
