OK, here's my first silver coin bell finished with a more "refined"/fancy bell topper rather than my rudimentary soldered in/hand bent and shaped 12 gauge silver or copper wire loops as a topper/handle.

This is a 1921 D Morgan silver dollar bell made from two very nice matching coins with the heads side out on the dome coin and tails out for the skirt coin.

This pre-made/manufactured topper is an alloy metal that I cannot solder/weld to so I have to use an industrial grade epoxy adhesive (had grey Marine-Tex on hand cuz I have a ton of experience mixing/using that but will prob get some JB Weld to try too).

I still soldered in copper wire into the top drill hole with a loop inside to hang the clanger but then cut the wire sticking out of the top with about 3/16" left to anchor into the threaded recess inside the topper with the adhesive for a super strong and structural bond.

I think it sounds as good (great!) as the welded in wire loop top one I did (now da wife's property 😉😃, I'll attach post of that for sound comparison), so that's not an issue.

I'm still not stoked with using a pre-fab alloy piece or epoxy adhesive even tho it looks pretty tight.

That said I see some silver coin bell makers/sellers that use JB Weld to glue everything together including the two coins at the dome/skirt seam and I don't really like that idea cuz I think it could diminish the sound coming from the silver bell fused by epoxy between the top and bottom, so this isn't a terrible compromise.

I'm spending a couple more $ and some more time to weld the two coins together with 65% silver soldering wire just to make sure there is no interference with how the sound resonates between the two ounces of silver coins.

And in the near future I hope to hand pour my own silver and copper bell toppers so I don't have to use alloys or glue.
