For once, this is not about NPP or NDC. It is about real issues affecting real people, and it is encouraging to see the right ears listening and action following.

Our young people do not need sympathy.

They need a country where effort has a chance to become progress. GHANA MUST WORK!

Every election season, citizens suddenly become extremely important.

After elections, getting a basic response from some public institutions can feel like applying for citizenship again.

Democracy cannot only become efficient when somebody needs your vote. GHANA MUST WORK!

Public transport should connect people to opportunity.

Instead, millions wake up early to fight traffic, fight for a seat, spend heavily on fares, and arrive at work already exhausted.

We are not just losing time in traffic.

We are burning productivity.

73% of Ghanaian children face at least two serious deprivations.

A child does not choose poverty, hunger, poor housing or where they are born.

If the system cannot protect children from the circumstances they inherited, then the system has failed them.

We keep telling children:

“Go to school and your future will be bright.”

An education must lead somewhere. A certificate without opportunity becomes another framed reminder on the wall that the system made promises it could not keep.

We grow cocoa.

Other countries turn it into chocolate, build global brands, create factories and employ thousands.

We mine gold.

Others build billion-dollar industries around it.

For decades Ghana has exported raw wealth and imported finished products.

It’s 1am and a newly posted teacher is in my DM telling me the village he’s been sent to in Sekyere Afram Plains has no electricity, no proper classrooms, no potable water and not even a basic toilet.

Sometimes you read these things and genuinely wonder what kind of country we have accepted as normal. Ghana is 69 years old!

Ghanaians have somehow normalised turning on our taps and accepting that nothing will come out.

Water is a right, not a privilege o. In 2010, the United Nations General Assembly, through Resolution 64/292, explicitly recognised the human right to safe and clean drinking water and sanitation as essential to the full enjoyment of human rights.

So why are we comfortable with a reality where we can go days, weeks, or even longer without reliable access to running water?

How can we continue to treat water shortages as if they are simply an inconvenience people must learn to live with? If it were power outages everyone would react differently, do you know why? Because the average Ghanaian can not afford a plant/generator.

Water that affects every facet of our lives is what we have decided to look away? We have adapted to water bins because we can not rely on our taps to flow consistently. We should not have to constantly spend additional money on sachet water, bottled water, or water tankers just to meet a basic human need. We are not angry enough. Me kraa I’m tired because why aren’t we upset that we don’t have running water???? #EndillegalmininginGhana #StopGalamseyNow

I’ll say this last thing and go.

Ghana politics has become a cycle. One party comes to power, disappoints people, gets voted out, then the next party acts like the old government’s failures have bought them four years of silence.

That makes no sense.

Supporting a party does not mean you lose your right to speak when your party loses power. If your party failed, admit it. If the government in power is failing too, say that.

“But your party did worse” is not an answer.

Yesterday’s failure does not excuse today’s failure. If we keep allowing every government to hide behind the mistakes of the one before it, we will keep changing parties without changing the country but what do I know? Maybe I’m just fooling. Maybe I’m chasing clout. Maybe NPP is paying me to tell you guys to open your eyes.
