In case you don't know the background, watch this. "Desperate Africans lured by Russia into the war in Ukraine using promises of well-paying civilian jobs. But they were forced into the frontlines with little/no training, facing drones & racism."
THE QUIET PRICE WE PAY FOR THE HUSTLE πππ
Most people donβt talk about this side of the grind. We celebrate long hours, sleepless nights and βno days off,β but we rarely admit what gets lost along the way. Slowly, almost unnoticeably, money begins to replace moments. Family time fades. Calls go unanswered. Messages are read and replied to late. Later that never comes. Not because we donβt love our people, but because the hustle has rewired our priorities.
You become isolated without planning to be. You stop picking random calls. You tell yourself youβll call back when youβre less busy, when things stabilize, when you finally βmake it.β The phone rings and instead of asking, βHow are you really doing?β the question becomes, βHow much do you need?β Relationships turn into emergencies and financial requests. Love starts wearing the face of obligation.
Itβs not something to brag about. Itβs not strength. Itβs survival mode. Many people grinding today didnβt choose this mindset but it was forced on them by pressure, responsibility and the fear of falling behind. When youβre carrying bills, expectations,m and entire households on your back, emotional availability becomes a luxury.
But hereβs the hard truth guys: success that costs you connection is expensive in ways money canβt fix. At some point, the grind should create room to live, not just exist.
Hustle hard, build relentlessly but donβt let the chase turn you into someone who only shows up with money and not presence. Awareness is the first step toward balance.
Be guided accordingly. π
