This is genuinely what it feels like. NYE I worked 13 hours without a break. Acuity was high and there didn’t seem to be any point to take a break. No nurses able to support. My patients come first, I need to make sure they’re looked after well.

The more I think about this the more angry I am.

I’m just not having MPs who have had a £20,000 rise in the last 10 years telling nurses who have had a real terms cut that their pay claim isn’t realistic.

@Lesley_Dougan @NiomiB I think it’s how people deal with the idea of death. I think some people process death in way, where saying there asleep is easier to process, than saying they’ve died. I deal with death a lot in my role and people deal with it in so many different ways.

Nurse strike are not about wages it about patient safety and staff well being . Pay a decent wage you retain staff, you develop staff. You reduce or eradicate the huge bill for agency nurses and save on nurse wage bill and have a better run ward= better patient outcomes.
