Why is COCOBOD now under the Ministry of Finance? There are various Directorates under MOFA and every District Assembly has a Department of Agriculture, same can't be said of the Department of Parks and Gardens.

✍️ Xabi Alonso may not have the keys to everything at Chelsea as the manager but what his new position has given him is the power to reshape the club.

The SDs won't buy players he doesn't want. And they won't frustrate him, because he's not under them. Rather, Alonso is the man in position to manage the sporting structure.

Which mean everyone in that structure is under Alonso based on the fact he's the manager. This signing is like Chelsea placing someone with greater football understanding at the helm to oversee activities going on below him.

I believe he will work very close to Eghbali because that's the guy above him that he answers to.

With someone like Alonso as manager, we don't need a technical director. The club was smart to suggest that to him because if they hired him as a head coach, they will surely need a technical director to oversee the activities of the sporting directors and scouts, and then link the head coach or else the issue of disconnect between the coach and the SDs will remain and the poor decisions will likely continue.

So, we have upgraded the coach, upgraded the head of the structure and upgraded the overall potential of the club making the right decisions on football related activities.
