@rootsaandwings@george__mack True. But weirdly, look back at video footage from the 70s and 80s and England fans displayed the union flag at football matches.
@pressfuturist Ah. Think I was reading it the wrong way round. Tell you what, that interview on Good Morning whatever about this that Colin Millar was part of (posted by him on here) was bizarre!
Luis Rubiales is gone as Spanish FA president. Five days on from the women's World Cup final. Decision came after immense political pressure within Spain. Pedro Rocha is the new president of the Federation. Also multiple reports in Spain that women's coach Jorge Vilda may resign.
Aitana Bonmati: "Sometimes I think that this world is s***. So many people have to leave their homes without wanting to because of war, and they arrive in places like Spain and Italy with no money, no friends and without speaking the language. Some have lost a wife, a kid or a husband. Honestly, it breaks my heart. We know about Ukraine here in Europe because it’s close to us, but there are so many people struggling in all corners of the world. Women in Afghanistan cannot go to university or even leave their home alone, because they are women. How crazy is that?
Tragedies like this make me realise how privileged I am. Last year I began working with the UN Refugee Agency in Spain, ACNUR. They arrange football training in Barcelona for female refugees to give them a support network here and help them integrate. That’s pretty cool, no? I always ask my teammates for spare boots and clothes that they can have. It’s not going to fix the world, but I already think it has improved quite a few lives. For me, that means a lot."
@NickMilo I use Evernote on my Android device for notes. You can add a widget that opens a new text note instantly, or audio, or camera. Then, I can access them on any other device to use, or move or whatever.
@naomicfisher "Education" does not equal "learning"
Keep talking! Many people don't think beyond the small scale.
"You can't do x in a class of 35".
Why is there a class of 35?
And
Why do exams exist?
Why do schools have set hours?
Why do classes have 1 teacher?
Etc
Keep asking Qs!
