@romtaah22744 You can load into the maps but nothing works. Not even doors open. All of the code that handles enemy spawning and AI, missions, scripting, etc. was ran on Bungie servers and all of that is lost now.
@mortison7@MathRockSucked The entire backend doesn’t exist anymore. Literally everything in the game world is controlled from Bungie servers, and all of the data for this stuff ceased to exist. The Red War isn’t even playable internally at Bungie. It doesn’t exist anymore.
@deamongaming420@Lateaaa_@MarkDa7is@evanf1997_ A better analogy is that you don’t even have the wires and have no idea what they ever looked like or how to make wires in the first place.
@deamongaming420@Lateaaa_@MarkDa7is@evanf1997_ Steam only has the client, which is basically just the models for everything. All of the stuff that allows the game to function is on Bungie servers. Even things as simple as enemy spawn points are on Bungie’s servers, not the Steam build.
@deamongaming420@Lateaaa_@MarkDa7is@evanf1997_ To what end? There are no enemies, no encounters, no loot, no inventory, etc. that’s was all handled on bungie servers that we don’t have access to
@deamongaming420@MarkDa7is@evanf1997_ All of the scripts in the entire game only exist server side. Things as simple as doors opening don’t work when hosted locally.
