We’re going backwards fast.
This clip pretty much sums up the mess Australia is in. For 10 out the last 15 quarters, per capital growth has gone backwards and over the four years since Albanese has been elected per capita growth has gone backwards.
It’s worth nothing the economic turmoil caused by Morrison’s response to Covid lit the match for this economic malaise.
No major party has a plan to lift Australia’s prosperity.
Tax rates and regulations need to be slashed, infrastructure needs to be funded and built, profits need to stop going offshore and our education/immigration sectors need to be completely revamped.
People First has the solutions to address these issues. Please lend your support by signing up at https://t.co/PeAaJW2pjF today.
While the rest of the nation gets hit with higher capital gains tax, there’s a special carve-out for foreign investors in renewable energy.
They get to keep the 50% CGT discount at a cost of $425 million to the taxpayer.
Foreign investors already don’t pay Capital Gains tax on shares and intangible assets. Why didn’t Chalmers crack down on them?
The answer of course is that the Labor party, like the Liberal party are controlled by foreign interests.!
But wait there’s more.
Under the capacity investment scheme underwriting agreements, if the actual revenue earned by a project is below the agreed revenue floor, the Australian government will pay the project operator 90 per cent of the revenue shortfall up to the agreed annual cap for 15 yrs. (see comments)
The Labor government will grant “whatever it takes” subsidies to ensure “renewable” energy is a part of the energy grid, no matter the cost to the taxpayer.
But in keeping with the government vibe of transparency the cost of the scheme can’t be disclosed and I quote.
“The CIS is listed in the budget papers as a contingent liability, alongside the Snowy 2.0 hydro electric scheme, which has already blown out in costs by billions.
According to the budget papers, "The Australian government's maximum liability and estimated payments under these (CIS) agreements are not for publication due to commercial sensitivities".
It’s not hard to see why the major parties are struggling. Wasting taxpayers money and refusing to disclose it has to stop.
If this is all about housing for young people then why are all our other assets being included such as shares , commercial property , industrial property what’s that got to do with housing ?
Japan makes eight billion dollars a year exporting gas. Japan doesn’t produce any gas. They buy it from Australia and on-sell it. Australia is governed by idiots. #auspol
Geologist Prof. Ian Plimer: "There is no climate emergency... It is a con. It's not underpinned by science."
"It has never been proven that human emissions of CO₂ drive global warming."
"Only 3% of emissions are from humans, the rest is natural... So if you're to prove that humans, and their emissions of the the gas of life, change climate, then you also have to prove that the natural emissions—97% of all emissions—don't change climate."
"That has never been addressed."
#BREAKING A Perth, Australian Muslim Imam, Neeldofa Abdul, gives 2 very different messages when speaking in public as opposed to behind closed doors.
When he thinks nobody is recording him.
Neeldofa Abdul’s real feelings emerge.

I gave this speech a few years back but in light of recent events in the Middle East it’s worth revisiting.
Australia needs to rebuild not just its refining and energy infrastructure but its entire economy.
That’s starts with throwing out the neoliberal ideology of let the market rip that destroyed our prosperity and replacing it with an Australian First mentality.
That means Australian ownership of our infrastructure, land and energy sector funded by our own Infrastructure bank and our own skills.

Yesterday I spoke with Ben Fordham about the major parties increasing the funding they receive for each vote from $3.38 to $5 at the next election.
This funding is only available to political parties who receive 4% of the vote making it hard for minor parties to receive funding while ensuring the majors do.
Not only is this a rort in terms of the majors giving themselves a 47% payrise to compensate for their drop in primary votes as a result of their poor performance, it undermines the importance of party members having a say.
Under this system, the majors rely on taxpayer funding rather than members subscriptions. This means they don’t need to listen to
members and therefore don’t need to hold preselections.
As a result the major political parties are controlled by vested interests and faceless men rather than the people.
If we want government to be for the people it has to be by the people, not the faceless men of the establishment.
Democracy matters. That’s why People First started branches and gives every member a say in how the party is run.
