❤️🔙🇦🇷 How Lionel Scaloni convinced Leo Messi to return to the national team after 2018 World Cup:
"I called him with Aimar to tell him that we would temporarily take over coaching the national team, and he said to us: 'Are you guys crazy?'
"Then afterward, he wished us good luck. We knew he wouldn't come during that break because we were only going to lead the national team for a short period.
"And after those matches passed and our continuation was confirmed, we called him again to tell him that we wanted him to return. And he always replied: 'I don't know, I'm not entirely sure.'
"But in the end, he loves the Argentine national team with all his heart. We knew that if we could touch that emotional chord inside him, he would return, and indeed he did.
"And we tried to make him feel comfortable and happy, especially since it was a rebuilding period for the national team and there were a lot of young players who didn't know him before.
"And what he generates is something that's very hard to explain. I could talk about it here for a full hour, but this is something you have to experience, not just hear described. What he creates when he enters the locker room or walks into a hall is something exceptional.." @DiarioOle
No PM has ever used a national address to openly criticise and target the opposition in this manner. PM Modi has broken this long-standing democratic norm with his address to the nation tonight. By directly attacking opposition over the Women’s Reservation Bill and likening their actions to ‘foeticide’ and being ‘anti-women’, this speech has made it evident that the BJP is willing to go to any extent to undermine healthy parliamentary conventions and constitutional traditions. It’s evident that Govt has lost its balance after the drubbing it got in the Loksabha yesterday. High time this rhetoric be stoped.. Let the Govt come forward sincerely to address the speedy implementation of Women’s reservation … and don’t meddle with the democratic-federal India .

I dont think people realize how much pressure was on Messi's shoulders. As soon as he put on the Argentina jersey, the BARE MINIMUM for him was to win the World Cup.
Those standards were unfair, impossible and he still surpassed them.
🚨 Leo Messi: “I wanted to end my entire career at Barcelona without having to go to another club. Unfortunately, things turned out differently”.
“It remains my club, my family, my home”, told Sport.
🚨 Samuel Umtiti: "The comeback against PSG? After the first leg, I knew we had two league games before the return leg."
"Enrique said to us: "We're going to change the tactics, we're going to change the formation"."
"It was Atlético and Celta Vigo. He told us we were going to play with a back three: "We're going to use these two games to prepare for the Paris match"."
"That's how he said it: "We're going to work on one-on-one duels, one-on-one, I don't care about anything else, one-on-one"."
"We worked on some tactical aspects, and everything was clear, and in the league we won. And everyone was saying: "Yeah, but that's not like Paris"."
"I remember Luis Enrique was incredibly strong. An amazing coach for me. He made me develop a lot in my vision of football and in the details, because he cares about the details in an unbelievable way."
"His tactical training sessions were some of the best I've seen in my life. Literally a genius in the details."
"He had prepared everything. When I say everything, I mean everything, to the point where you feel like he had prepared the course of the match before it even happened."
"He told us: "Don't worry, they scored four. We're capable of scoring six. Don't worry"."
"That's what he put in our minds. It was amazing. I felt like the entire Barcelona believed it was possible. The whole of Barcelona... there wasn't even a "maybe." It was: Yes, it's possible."
"We arrive on match day. Everyone is calm. And in Spain, there's none of that tension you get in the dressing rooms in France. In France, if you laugh before the match, they say you're not focused."
"There in Barcelona, I saw something different: The players are calm, laughing, relaxed."
"Even before the match, there's no one shouting or punching walls. In France, that happens a lot. For me, that changed my perspective."
"Iniesta, super calm, speaking in a low voice, and he says: "Guys, we know what we have to do. We go out on the pitch and do what's necessary"."
"In that match, it was similar. Even though we took four, I looked at them and said: "My God, we took four and you're this calm?"
"That's the high level. Even the Catalan press were confident."
"During the game, Marquinhos was a clear example. He was dropping back a lot. And Thiago too. Even though I respect him a lot... Thiago Silva is a role model for me."
"But I think that if Paris had come to press high, the match would have been completely different."
"I remember at the start of the match, Cavani wanted to press. But everyone was telling him: "Drop back." I remember that well."
"I was expecting them to really press us. But they didn't, and in the end, that gave us even more confidence instead of confusing us."
"I think that's why Paris couldn't hold on. Because if you win 4-0 in the first leg... press us a bit, score one goal... the match ends... but they didn't."
"Cavani's goal? Even in the 86th minute before Neymar's free kick, we still believed. Because Luis Enrique said in the team talk: "Even if they score a goal, we have two or three minutes to score two."
"That's why I tell you his talk affected me a lot - it was like he knew everything that was going to happen."
"If VAR had existed, maybe the match wouldn't have ended 6-1, but you can't rewrite history."
"I don't know. Maybe things would have changed. It could have, but we have to admit we were lucky in some moments."
"But for me, luck wasn't the main factor; we created that luck ourselves.”
"Neymar was in a frenzy after the game because he played a supernatural match."
"He even said before the match that today he was going to score a brace. He said it literally and he did it."
"That match was like a dream. Everything that was said came true."
For me, one of my biggest anticipations for GTA 6's story, is how awesome it is to be in love with a woman - something that was really cool when I was growing up.
Lionel Messi at just 25-years old was already rewriting history 🐐🔥

Barcelona be subbing on random La Masia kids and they come on looking like they’ve been playing at this level for 10 years it’s a joke, they might be the first club where being broke is actually an advantage because it forces them to introduce more of these guys
