Without elected boards or state oversight, vouchers are nothing more than private school subsidies that give away your tax dollars with no financial or academic accountability. #TXLege#FundTexasSchools

Gov Abbott announced a 30-day special session beginning today, Oct 9, to provide private school subsidies, aka vouchers or education savings accounts. #PubEd is underfunded by billions, and any available funding should be prioritized for teacher raises and to #FundTexasSchools
@MPElemSchool is thrilled to announce the appointment of Nelly Vaccaro as its new principal! Having recently served as an AP at @ShaferTweets, her extensive background and dedication to students make her a perfect fit for the MPE family. Congratulations on your new role!
Dear students, colleagues, and friends,
Please join me in congratulating Dr. Norma Martinez, newly appointed Director of Communication at Goose Creek CISD!
Norma graduated from the program over a year ago and her research about the impact of COVID on leaders and educational technology is solid.
Her article titled “The Influence of COVID-19 on Campus Leaders’ Curriculum Integration, Perceptions Towards, and Acquired Expertise in Technology” was recently accepted for publication at the AASA Journal of Scholarship & Practice, highly respected peer reviewed national journal. I was honored to be Norma’s dissertation chair and co-authoring that article with her and my dear colleague and friend Dr. Michelle Peters.
She has been successfully serving as an elementary school principal in Katy ISD for the past years.
Previously, while being an assistant principal, Norma served as one of my EDLS Research Assistants at the UHCL helping hundreds of doctoral students.
She is an outstanding professional, devoted mother, wife, sister, friend, colleague, and a future school superintendent.
She is a vivid example of the good consequences that hard work and dedication may bring. She has earned everything she has obtained.
We are proud that 80% of our students find better jobs while being in the program because they feel motivated and more knowledgeable.
We can’t wait to see all the great things Norma will accomplish.
Dream big and go conquer! @UHClearLake@GCCISD
Last spring, students read for more than 17k minutes during Read-a-thon and earned enough money to buy a book vending machine! Today- we had very special guests participate in our official ribbon cutting ceremony! Thank you for your support! #mpepanthers@katyisd_ELEMCI@katyisd
