It's been 7 years, and we just got a $2000 bill from the hospital for our youngest's birth for 'pain management'.

I gave birth so fast they didn't even have time to give me an IV & the nurse had to catch our new born because she didn't believe me when I said the baby was coming so she didn't page the doctor. There was no 'pain management' done by anyone except me.

On July 13, 2024, Jim went to Butler to hear President Trump speak.

A left-wing psycho opened fire on the President and struck multiple supporters in the crowd. Corey Comperatore was killed. Trump was hit in the ear. Jim was shot twice once in the arm, once in the abdomen.

He fought for two years after that day. Multiple surgeries. Permanent injuries. Bullet fragments still in his body.

Left-wing violence has very real and deadly consequences. This evil must be rejected.

For all the things that divide us, grief is a universal language and a defining part of the human experience. At some point, every one of us will love someone we have to say an earthly goodbye to.

I am still learning how to walk through each day carrying the grief I feel for my Charlie. Some days I have a vague understanding of God’s plan, others I don’t, but I trust Him completely. He is my only strength. I also know grief can be lonely, and sometimes hearing someone else put words to it makes us feel a little less alone.

I wrote this for anyone who has lost someone they love, anyone sitting in grief now, and anyone who someday will.

Suffering does not get the final word.
