#WeRemember Coxswain James McHale of Poplar St in the West End. He joined the Naval Reserve in 1940 at age 17 & began active duty less than a year later. He served on the ammunition ship USS Kilauea. He was injured & died 25 April 1942. He is buried at St Joseph Cemetery. #WWII

#WeRemember PFC Drexel Vest of Morgan, KY & then Mt Adams. He served in the 322 Fighter Squadron. He was killed when the transport HMT Rohna was sunk on 26 Nov 1943. This sinking cost over 1000 Allied soldiers their lives. He is remembered @usabmc North Africa America Cemetery.

@OperBenjamin I just saw your account and thought that maybe you could help. Capt. Richard Frillman (O-691981) is buried with a Latin cross but was identified as being Jewish. Can you help?
#WeRemember CPT Richard R Frillman who grew up in North Avondale & attended @HughesSTEMHS. He was a navigator on B-17 and was fatally wounded on a mission in Sept 1944. He died of his injuries 8 Oct 1944. He is buried @ArlingtonNatl. #WWII
He is buried with a Latin Cross, however he is identified as being Jewish by the National Jewish Welfare Board. @ArlingtonNatl, @VANatCemeteries, @usabmc any ideas of why this would have occurred?
