In Turkey non-Muslims & Muslims not taking part in Ramadan are eating. A number of Muslim clerics wander past insulting & intimidating diners.

My takeout is that, given the chance, it'd be, pardon the pun, Ramadan is being rammed down our throats.

King Charles called out for making no mention of Ash Wednesday, days after taking part in pre-Ramadan festivities.

British PM Keir Starmer also failed to acknowledge Ash Wednesday, days after he attended a Ramadan Iftar event inside the British Parliament.

London Mayor Sir Sadiq Khan however, acknowledged both Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent on social media.

“Today marks Ash Wednesday - a day of reflection and prayer for thousands across our city, as Lent begins. Wishing all Londoners observing, a peaceful and meaningful Lent.”
