Working for a startup means taking risk: crazy work hours, high uncertainty, often lower salaries. In return you get to create the future, build something new and take responsibility.

Until now, Germany has made it extremely cumbersome for companies to grant stock options to their employees and have them participate in the value creation they're part of.

It makes me so happy to see that Germany will introduce a new employee stock option regime effective from Jan, 1st, 2024, significantly improving the current situation.

Four years of hard work are bearing fruit! Huge congrats to my friend @miele who was instrumental in pushing this through. And a big thank you to @c_lindner, @verenahubertz and many others that have been fighting on our side!
