And when the sixth hour had come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour. And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” which means, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” And some of the bystanders hearing it said, “Behold, he is calling Elijah.” And someone ran and filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on a reed and gave it to him to drink, saying, “Wait, let us see whether Elijah will come to take him down.” And Jesus uttered a loud cry and breathed his last. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. And when the centurion, who stood facing him, saw that in this way he breathed his last, he said, “Truly this man was the Son of God!”

@crazybilly @hodlbod @john_starke That was within the context of religious persecution by the local authorities, NOT a mentally unstable rogue shooter.
@thecachinnator@Crystalisives@Christianitymag When we are persecuted "because of our faith" we should submit and not respond w/ violence, when we are attacked independent of our faith, our heart posture should indicate a willingness to "turn the other cheek" but utilize wisdom in responding w/ an appropriate level of force.

It is hell’s most effective slogan yet.
@realEstateTrent Such a timely tweet! I am in a situation in Gatlinburg where there was a lot of snow and my cleaner couldn't get up there this morning. Incoming guest couldn't find alternate accommodations...I offered this and they accepted!
@EqualRightsInst How does the generally accepted idea that women should not partake of harmful substances (alcohol, tobacco, etc.) while they are pregnant align with the Bodily Rights View?
