@politicianpages@atrupar Frankly don't care. But, the way you listed his views made it seem that you were just saying that this is a partisan issue. It is not. It is a competence issue.
@politicianpages@atrupar Got it. But again, the relevance is not Durbin's record - it is this guy's record, and worthiness to hold an important role in the administration.
@politicianpages@atrupar Not relevant for this discussion. The question is, "Can we accept a nominee who acted like an idiot." I also don't see anything wrong with his top issues.
@TexasBuckeye513@berniemoreno@SenWarren Not really. I totally understand why you are angry - you have been doing the right thing and contributing. Soc. Sec. was based on the premise that our working population would grow so future generations fund current retirees. Plus we live longer.
@MKrinkle123@DanRShafer The "dis" is the hypocrisy of claiming to bring money to Wisconsin when in reality he did everything in his power to NOT bring Wisconsin these funds.
@derrick_dao@janrosenow Very good points. It is a remarkable transition - look for batteries next (like solar, China is going to dump cheap batteries into Pakistan)
@ENERGY@SecretaryWright If this is pushing prices down, I hate to see what happens when there is a rebound. This may be the most incompentent administration in terms of energy policy.
@adamsmalys@JessePeltan I don't believe the 30-60% increases. It might have felt that way though. We live in a very expensive electricity State - and it is WAAAAAYYY cheaper to drive an EV.
@Pembrokestcap@JigarShahDC The big difference is that once you purchase the solar, you don't need to keep doing that - and there is lots of domestic production coming, while oil & gas you have to keep importing.
@ToliverScotty@ChrisMartzWX Convenient that it ends in 2019. Talk about the unprofitable coal power plants that Trump is not allowing to close (even though it costs ratepayers huge amount of money)
@Pembrokestcap@douglewinenergy Let's just applaud the good news. Sure coal or fossil is used to construct the turbine - but that is one time, and then the windmills just keep supplying power.
@tomzonks@ChrisMartzWX Yep, I totally agree that they did increase our standard of living. But 30 years ago, the oil companies realized they had a huge environmental problem and did nothing. If they had started developing alternatives they would be heroes.
@JakeThirteenth@ChrisMartzWX Nuclear is a fine option (as long as safe). It just takes 10 years to build - so in a crunch, solar and wind (and maybe geo therm can help).
