Allegheny County is about to get a lot greener thanks to @TreePgh & the federal clean energy funding they recently received to plant trees across the region. 🌳🎉
“As a result of the funding, residents can expect lots more trees coming their way — and more services to preserve and keep the trees healthy."
Trees are key parts of healthy communities. They improve air quality, lower temperatures, and increase property values. A portion of the federal funding will be used to provide much-needed professional tree care at Pittsburgh public schools in lower-income communities.
“There is so much need. The current investment from the Inflation Reduction Act creates a bridge between the past and a sustainable, prosperous future.“
Watch the video to see how Tree Pittsburgh is using federal funding to enrich Pittsburgh’s tree canopy and the health of our communities in Allegheny County.
