The locals in the area were also really friendly and it's a really nice place to visit if you want to get out of the rush of the cities. I'd highly recommend visiting the archeological museum nearby. Just watch out for giant spiders along the tree-lined road in fall... ._.
Decided to take a personal day trip a while back to get a more accurate feel of the area I was trying to bring to life. The hike through the castle ruins was a great experience in the cool, fall weather and the views from the top were amazing.
The game's version of Azuchi castle is definitely the biggest/most complex location I've worked on and couldn't have done it without the dev team and the amazing group of level artists in the studio. 🥳
Omg... thing that i've been working on last year is coming out tomorrow... I get chills every time a game is released, but this one is truly a behemoth of a project.
