Given the victory rhetoric by Shehbaz Sharif and the Pak narrative that India took a besting and sought a ceasefire, claims echoed by CNN and sections of the western media one can conclude that Pakistan hasn’t fully absorbed the lesson India wanted to teach it.
At the international level the issue of Pak involvement in terror has been papered over and the burden has been put on both countries to exercise restraint and find a diplomatic solution.
US claiming mediation has detracted from India’s long held position against mediation. US is equating India and Pakistan. This has implications. Can US be trusted?
In the midst of the conflict the IMF approves a financial bail out of Pakistan.
The answer is building up our military capacity even more and give no quarter to Pakistan.
