@InvestWithD What she said in the interview which I watched is they will try. Cloture is hard to do. It is not scheduled yet. Trying to get to Cloture in 5 days is difficult. They don't know if they have the votes for Cloture as well which requires 60 and republicans are defecting.
@fundstrat@BitMNR@FundstratDirect@FundstratCap Which ones exactly because it is not Singapore. You mean Dubai, El Salvador, Bahamas or Caymans. You have to be kidding with these threats. They are wholly untrue.
@WatcherGuru They are. So is Hawley, Paul, Curtis, Cornyn and at least one other republican. They need 14 to pass of the Dems since Mitch is out in rehab.
@cryptogoos That was an analyst and not JPMorgan management or the bank itself. Analysts cover this area and are separate from the bank in their research coverage for a specifric industry. It was actually in the Coindesk article.
@mrnguyen007 That was U.S. Magistrate Judge Sarah Netburn not the presiding judge Analisa Torres and it was on not being forthcoming on documents where William Hinman from the SEC in a speech said Ethereum was not a security.
@CryptoAmerica_@Mysten_Labs@The_DTCC When Nasdaq made their partnership with Kraken at FIA in March and with Borse Stuttgart for EU this was not with any need for the Clarity Act. Nasdaq is a NMS regulated exchange.
@CryptoAmerica_@Mysten_Labs@The_DTCC Sure but none of those need the Clarity Act. They are using existing financial rails. Also these are securities. Everything NYSE and Nasdaq are doing with DTCC are under a regulated industry. They needed SEC sign-off. They were getting with or without Atkins.
@TheGovtHatesU@fundstrat Tom is perpetually wrong. So many wrong calls since 2021 on market timing and what he says. But a stopped watch is right twice per day.
@fundstrat Tom's market errors stem from his overly bullish bias. His transitory inflation call in 2021 missed Fed rate hikes, sparking a failed 2022 S&P 500 forecast ahead of a 20% crash. In crypto, over-optimistic models caused missed Bitcoin targets and billions in Ethereum losses.
@pete_rizzo_ He has the same opinion that a lot of economists and bankers have that there is no intrinsic value. There is no backing other than perceived value and unlike US treasury there is no full faith and credit. It is him opinion and an opinion held by a lot of people.
@Crypto_WarRoom@SenLummis Singapore regulates crypto via the PSA and FSMA under MAS. To protect consumers, the rules ban public ads and retail access to leverage, staking, lending, or credit trading. It also mandates full licensing for locally incorporated firms serving only offshore clients.
@realOscarRamos1 Lummis does not believe it will pass next week. She is hoping for Cloture next week. She said so today and it is tough she said because Cloture takes 6 to 8 days and there are only 5. No scheduled time for the floor vote by Thune yet either.
@TimWarrenTrades@brian_armstrong He won't go for the state AGs because that would open him up to suit via the Martin Act in NY. They will go after his kids first because he is a sitting president. Lummis is against it and now they need 14 votes. Look at Patrick Witt's timeline. Cloture needs 60 votes
