As always, stay paranoid, but be patient. Do not act out of fear or panic.
If you have a Coldcard and trusted the device to generate your seed phrase, take a moment to check your wallet and confirm that your funds are intact.
If everything is secure, calmly take the next steps: generate a new seed phrase (ideally using dice rolls), and learn about passphrases if you haven’t already. If any of that sounds foreign to you, read up on the concepts first or ask us.
As we said, be patient. The worst thing you could do right now is move your funds in a panic and make a mistake that results in a loss.

PSA if you generated a seed on Coldcard and imported it elsewhere to use with another blockchain (such as ETH) consider it compromised and move your funds asap. Exact versions/devices are still being investigated but better safe than rekt
mk4 is probably not much better :(
⚠️ IMPORTANT FOR COLDCARD USERS
If your seed was generated on a Mk3 running firmware 4.0.1 through 5.0.3, your funds may be at risk.
What to do:
Generate a completely new seed on an unaffected hardware wallet.
Verify the new receiving address on the device.
Send a small test transaction.
Confirm it arrived, then move the remaining funds.
Do not generate the replacement seed using the normal “New Wallet” option on the affected Mk3. Never enter your seed or passphrase online or send it to anyone claiming to be support.
Mk4, Q and Mk5 are currently considered unaffected. If you used a strong BIP39 passphrase, not the PIN, Coldcard says the risk is minimal.
Proceed promptly, but carefully.

We just got our $IOND. Now we are about to find out they held all their Bitcoin on a Coldcard Mk3, random seed firmware generated, no multi sig, and no passphrase.
The Coldcard MK3 seed warning makes moving funds to fresh keys the sane move. CryptoParadyme says ppl are missing $37m in BTC... that alone doesn't tie those losses to this flaw.
@leopoldasch short coldcard with 20x leverage and you can make it all back.

If you generated your seed with a Coldcard MK3, your funds are at risk.
If you used a passphrase on top of that (13th word) or multisig, the risk is reduced.
This does not appear to affect Coldcard Mk4, Mk5, and Q users.

If you have this setup: an MK3 running version 4.0.1 (March 2021) or higher, you are advised to move your Bitcoin out of there.

Coldcard hardware wallet got bitcoin stolen from it. I guess when they generated the 24 word keys, they did it with a weak random number generator, which can be derived through brute force.
So somebody figured out the seed phrase and stole the bitcoin
