I got my Qrackberry in the mail yesterday.
AKA ColdCard Q
Really expensive but awesome Bitcoin-only wallet.
I also got some killer toxic maximalist stickers.
Noice.
Hi, Is it my laptop's camera or are there certain issues preventing Sparrow from reading QR codes from a Coldcard Q? Sparrow works perfectly with a SeedSigner, but with the Coldcard Q, it has been hell trying to read the QR codes to import public keys into Sparrow for creating read-only wallets. I tried exporting the public key using three different methods (Sparrow, descriptor, and generic), and none of the QR codes generated by the Coldcard Q could be read by Sparrow. The wallet I tried to export had a passphrase. Any idea what might be going wrong?
Hello @frankliinzz apologies we understand how frustrating this can be please kindly DM to have this resolved immediately sorry for any inconvenience caused
@Average12021279 apologies for any inconvenience caused yes you’d be able to use the web tool to update your firmware send us a DM to put you through the process and yes it’s safe
@natbrunell@Coinkite@COLDCARDwallet@CasaHODL Yes please. How to upgrade firmware. I don’t like the idea of plugging my Coldcard into a computer to upgrade the firmware. Is there another way to do this or is it safe to do?
@Jethroe111 yes you’d have to use the product tool to integrate your coldcard Mk4 and make sure your firmware is updated kindly DM to put you through the process
@natbrunell@Coinkite@COLDCARDwallet@CasaHODL Natalie, I really appreciate these series you've been doing on hardware wallets. One of the questions that I would like to have answered concerns how you integrate Coldcard Mk4 with a plug and play Bitcoin node.
Also, does Casa still sell the Node 2?
@ericmoorman21M yes you’d be able to convert it into a multi sig when you want to kindly make sure you have updated the firmware before doing this shoot us a DM to put you through the process
