Our latest @ChemRxiv preprint has landed. 🔗https://t.co/y4jmyqyYzh
Hypervalent rotors… with an elastic C–I axle embedded in triazole and triazolium scaffolds.
Miraculous parity in atropostability. Divergent breathing vs sealing. Two modes of chiral recognition. 🫡🫡🫡🍘

a redox-neutral [3+2] annulation of cyclopropanols with alkenes via an RPC cascade — a mechanistically distinct branch that spun out from our (enolized) homoenolate chemistry.

Turns out we’ve (accidentally?) revisited and corrected a 50-year-old reaction in hypervalent iodine chemistry.
Our new paper on the merger of HDDA and hypervalent iodine chemistry is out in @JOC_OL. Congrats to Morohashi-kun, Liejin and all! https://t.co/5dNfCa1WRO
Pleased to share our work on diazomethyliodane x aryne reaction published in @ChemicalScience. Congrats to Otsuki-kun, and many thanks to @DelordWencel for the fruitful collaboration! https://t.co/wY3l0k079u
Pleased to share our C–I atropisomeric molecule, now published in @Chem_CP. Congrats to Abe-kun, Kikuchi-san, and Matsumoto-san, and many thanks to @hagi_no_suke for making it open access!
We welcome submission of papers concerning synthesis, property, and application of molecules with non-central chirality - such as axial, planar, helical, inherent- to our thematic issue in BJOC @BeilsteinInst
We are pleased to share on @ChemRxiv our unusual chiral molecules featuring the longest-ever atropisomeric axis—a carbon-iodine bond! https://t.co/q4QRUCgBBc
Many nucleophiles work (ArOH, alcohols, anilines, sulfonamides, N-hets), but we have to add slowly to get useful yield. All at once gives only the "original" isomer and none of the "migrated." 🤮 The work was led by postdoc Yoshiya Sekiguchi and G2 Paul Onnuch - congratulations!
The next chapter of our metal catalysis work is now on @ChemRxiv. We report that an unusual reversible Pd "ring-walking" process can be used to access unconventional isomers of cross-coupling products!
