If I wasn't doing all of the extra shit I do (starting early unscheduled + starting early scheduled to do pickup + not taking a lunch 3/5 the week + half lunch the other 2/5), I would have had about 32.8 hours.

There's plenty of notable examples of companies racing towards the bottom, stripped and bled try to pay off the loan that was used to buy them by their new owner.

Management is on a warpath to cut down hours as much as possible......

while also ramping up hiring people and refusing to actually let go any of the people that do significantly under the minimum.

Things used to be different during periods like this. In the past, they're ensured people can get 40/hr week with a minimum crew without issue.

Not a shock but the change in priorities happened after we were bought by another company who are owned by private equity.

This screws over my department in particular because we don't get incentive pay like pickers(the bulk of workers) or drivers do. The three of us, my direct super as well as the lift drivers and receivers rely on pure hours.
