What drew me to online English teaching was how flexible the schedule can be. Since I haven’t started yet, I imagine mine will involve a simple setup and a schedule that isn’t too hectic, which I’m really looking forward to.

One concern I have is whether students will find me pleasant and engaging, but I think that’s something every teacher worries about when starting out.

Dutch volleyball player jailed for r*ping a 12 year old girl set to compete in the Paris Olympics.

Steven van de Velde was 19 when he flew from the Netherlands to the UK to meet a 12 year old schoolgirl in 2014 after the pair started chatting on Facebook before he r*ped her.

Before he returned to the Netherlands Van de Velde advised her to get the morning after pill as he had not used contraception.

The sportsman was aware of her age at the time.

He was sentenced to 4 years in prison.

He is now set to return to volleyball after securing a spot in the Paris Games in July.
