🆘🆘 AMORA (ID 259450), 3-4 MONTH OLD, FEMALE – IN QUEENS ACC - came into the shelter as a stray on 7/11/2026. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿
🆘🆘 UPDATE – UPDATE – POOR POOR AMORA- ADOPTION FELL THROUGH- WAS RETURNED TO THE EPL ON 9/29/26 – LITERALLY ON BORROWED TIME NOW – BEYOND URGENT – LET’S HELP HER GET SAFE 🆘🆘
➡️TBD 10/1/26
➡️ ONLY A BABY – JUST BEGINNING LIFE
➡️ NEW HOPE PARTNER RESCUE ONLY
➡️ TOO LOW ON PLEDGES TO STIMULATE RESCUE INTEREST
➡️🆘🆘 4TH Chance on Emergency Placement List – BEYOND URGENT - NO ROOM IN SHELTER – WILL NOT BE GIVEN MUCH MORE TIME – VERY HIGH EU/SILENT KILL RISK – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱
➡️ 81 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT
➡️ AMORA IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS -She is not thriving in the care center and continues to display distance-increasing behavior when approached for interactions. She has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥
My foster writes: This gorgeous mini panther is looking for the right adopter who will provide a patient and stable home. This spicy tiny tiger is still in need of that breakthrough, where she learns that human hands are the source of a great many pleasures. She loves to eat, and she learned that I bring yummy things. She especially likes quality wet food, roast chicken and baby food. She is super energetic and loves to play with string toys that are pulled along and jiggled, I used twine and shoe laces. She loses herself, forgets she is afraid and rolls around, jumps and gets closer to me then she would otherwise. She is easy to love, so fierce and beautiful! I wish that she find that person who can get her to that place, where she accepts caressing, love and companionship and finds comfort. Thank you for loving her and taking the time, whoever you are. Amora tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻

🆘🆘 LUCEE (ID 103725), 11 YO, FEMALE – IN MANHATTAN ACC - came into the shelter as a owner surrender on 7/24/2026, with the surrender reason stated as animal behavior - not good with kids. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿
➡️TBD 10/1/26
➡️ SENIOR ALERT
➡️ TOO LOW ON PLEDGES TO STIMULATE RESCUE INTEREST
➡️ 🆘🆘 2ND Chance on Emergency Placement List – VERY URGENT – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱
➡️ 68 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT
➡️ LUCEE IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS - She is not thriving in the care center and continues to display challenging behavior during interactions. She is extremely intelligent and high energy, and needs to expend energy constructively with interactive play sessions 3-4X/day. In addition to playtime, this cat would also benefit from mental exercise from activities such as puzzle toys/games, lick mats, or clicker training. Without providing activity for her mind and body, the cat may react with rough play, potentially resulting in bite/scratch incidents. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥
What my friends at ACC say about me: I would do best in a home with only adult humans. I will need daily physical activity to keep me healthy and happy! Lucee tolerates attention and petting but appears fearful or stressed in the shelter. She may be a little more independent and may need time to warm up to her new home. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻
