Sometimes support looks like tears. Sometimes it looks like stillness. Sometimes it looks like calling a friend and not pretending the day is easy. When people cannot cry, I do not tell them to force it. I tell them they are not broken. I tell them that the heart has more than one language. Some hearts speak through work, through care, through silence, through art, through prayer, through walking until the mind softens. Tears are one way of telling the truth, not the only way.

By 2026, digital media had engulfed everyday life. In 2026, I created an experience through the tactile, quiet, unhurried act of reading on paper. Inside The Gurdeep Magazine, you’ll find essays crafted for slow, quiet reading, all centered on joy, hope, and positivity. If you'd like to hold printed words that warm your hands, heart and mind, visit https://t.co/rehEMdIORw.
I dance in the snow, and people sometimes imagine it as a performance of constant happiness. The truth is more human. I dance because movement loosens what gets trapped. A body can carry sorrow for years in tightened shoulders and a clenched jaw. When I lift my arms under an open sky, I am not trying to outrun sadness. I am giving it space to breathe.

As conditions in Ukrainian frontline cities remain challenging, many families don't have consistent access to gas stoves and other cooking supplies they need to cook. That's why WCK is bringing the stoves to them with our cooking kits, each of which includes a gas stove, gas canisters, and a fire extinguisher. With these tools, Ukrainian families can once again taste the comforting flavor of a home-cooked meal, serving dignity during difficult times. #ChefsForUkraine
Canada strongly condemns Russia’s launch of large-scale missile and drone attacks on civilian targets in Kyiv tonight.
For more than four years since Russia’s illegal invasion, it has greatly underestimated the courage, determination, and strength of the Ukrainian people — even as Putin’s regime has relentlessly bombed Ukrainian energy infrastructure, schools, hospitals, and homes.
We call on Russia to immediately cease these strikes and end this illegal war of aggression. They prolong human suffering and do nothing to change the fact that Russia will lose this war.
Canada will continue working closely with international partners to secure a just and lasting peace for Ukraine and Europe.

RIP Barney Frank, who served 16 terms in congress, coming out in 1987. Compare his record on civil rights, healthcare for veterans, pro-choice measures and LGBTQ issues with the cowardice of Trump tokens like Ric Grenell and Peter Thiel. Frank was irascible, outspoken and a hero
The idea of Stephen Colbert running for president is very intriguing. It would be the perfect revenge and he'd do a great job. Plus it would be fun watching Bezos, Zuckerberg and Elon grovel to him

“Americans should be cleareyed about what the president is doing. He is taking their money and showering it on criminals,” the editorial board writes. https://t.co/90p0oikL6f

Tomorrow at noon, I'm standing at a podium in Tribeca and reading the Epstein files out loud for 24 hours straight.

On this day in 1896, 130 years ago, the Supreme Court handed down Plessy v. Ferguson and gave legal sanction to the lie of “separate but equal.” That decision helped entrench racial segregation for generations. The Supreme Court has gotten it wrong before, and when it does, the consequences are profound.
In this moment, as voting rights are again being weakened, we must remember that justice cannot depend on courts alone. We must stay vigilant, organized, and committed to protecting our rights and our democracy.
