@SusanBEdelman @Rich_Calder 4 yrs I navigated the streets of Astoria to drop my then high schooler off, sveral no left & right turns. Closing streets during certain hours isn't new for NYers. Plenty of schools don't have outdoor recess areas, cost money then & it cost money now.

@ravenscimaven @nytimes @debra_kamin There needs to be a legal questionnaires sellers are required to complete: asking the seller: are any groups/ races/ethnicities/genders seller will not agree to sell to. If they indicate any, realtor can step back. If no & this comes up later, take seller to court no questions.

@ravenscimaven The seller/84yr old more than likely didn't think "a black person has this much money to outrightly buy this condo". Hence, the reason down-payment was accepted, tour granted & meeting set & had. Seller caring about the Federal & State law is a moot point, she's set in her ways.

@colorfullstory Sorry to say but pressing charges isn't enough there needs to be real impact: employer, College his daughter is going to be attending, neighbors start steering and pointing, grocery store clerks close their lines as he starts walking up. But again, look where their happened 🇩🇲
