1/@BrianKavanaghNY, we need your support to pass a bill this session for majority local representation on the @BPCA_ny - to appoint local residents to the 6 open and holdover board seats. #BPCALocalRepresentation
Over 1,000 people signed our petition in a matter of days. Join us in BPC if you believe all communities deserve a voice in decisions impacting them! @BPCNA_official https://t.co/8KYht05c3B
@BPCNA_official@bpca_ny@GovKathyHochul@KGforNYC@nicksbordone We support majority representation of locals. Lets sit down with community members and BPCA leadership on all these issues being raised. We should quickly look at these current major decisions collaboratively. I will set up a time. Let’s reset this relationship!
@VittoriaNYC@bpca_ny We should give the Cuomo appointed positions expiring & ending to BPC Residents who know their community best & everyday will engage with residents. #BPCALocalRepresentation
To truly listen to the community, the BPCA needs to be representative of its residents. This is why the majority of @bpca_ny board must be residents who actually live in the neighborhood.
The meeting went 4+ hours when person after person stood up opposing this design and process. There was literally not one voice of support #pausethesaws. @NYGovCuomo please prove that you listened and engaged
This small green is instrumental in help battling covid - the north meadow is often overflown with activities. In a jungle that’s all too concrete - green space is crucial. How is’t having a memorial done by Labor Day more important than preserving green space for children?
We are still asking the same thing of @NYGovCuomo. We are respectfully asking “do not cut our trees, pave over our grass or reduce the space our kids play. We need a Pause for real, not just show. This was a crew out today BEFORE even the community meeting. @nypost
Dear @NYGovCuomo, we have been camped out in the heat waiting for you to answer our calls to have a conversation about your plans to cut down our trees, pave over our grass & reduce the grass space our kids use to play #pausethesaws@SenSchumer@BrianKavanaghNY@RepJerryNadler
@NYGovCuomo This is the only consistently shaded area in @RockefellerPark, please come and take a look, engage with the people whose lives would have been effected had the trees been cut! Did you know Each tree provides and equivalent of 10 commercial ACs?#SaveRockefellerPark#PauseTheSaws
