The Los Angeles Times published a sponsored travel guide titled "9 Days in Israel" that lists the Golan Heights as a destination within Israel, with no acknowledgment that the territory is occupied Syrian land whose annexation violates international law.

The guide describes the Golan Heights as offering "open space," vineyard tours, and "sweeping views" — presenting it as a routine Israeli tourist destination alongside Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. It recommends wineries in the Golan Heights without noting that Israeli settlements and commercial operations there are considered illegal under international law.

The Golan Heights was captured by Israel from Syria in the 1967 war and unilaterally annexed in 1981 — a move the UN Security Council declared "null and void and without international legal effect." The Trump administration recognized Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights in 2019, and Colombia became the only other government to follow suit this week.

Yesterday I emailed the FBI tip line and reported an animal abuser that has gotten away with crimes for years on Skid Row. She has admitted to tying dogs mouths shut with rope so they can’t bark so people can’t find them, she has threatened to kill people if they call the police, she has had caseworkers be physically attacked when calling the police, she has had 10 dogs and cats crammed in wire crates covered in feces, and she has repeatedly hit the dogs.
