Former Valve dev Chet Faliszek has fired back at Epic CEO Tim Sweeney over his latest attacks on Steam.
Sweeney claims Valve is holding PC gaming back and criticizes Steam’s AI disclosure rules.
Faliszek argues that these disclosures help players make informed decisions:
“You’re just treating players like they’re stupid.”
He also points out that Epic’s own Fab marketplace uses AI disclosures.
And his response to Sweeney? Put Alan Wake 2 on Steam if you’re really that pro-consumer.
@KreekCraft Yeah not exactly a good thing, it just means you're diluting the platform with low quality, low effort cash grab games, which wasn't as egregious as arguably 10 years ago on Roblox.
I'm not saying anything new, we've all been witnessing it unravel before us.
